Use Energy-Efficient Furniture

A lot of home owners nowadays opt to use energy-efficient appliances and furniture not only to save money but for the environment as well.

You can find energy-efficient appliances and furniture in the market. But before purchasing any eco-friendly appliances and furniture, be sure that it is Energy Star approved, and we’d like everyone to know that Penguin Windows is one of them.

Many home owner spends a lot of money for their cooling in heating system, especially now that we are experiencing global warming, there are a lot of countries who are experiencing very hot and very cold weather.

Please, Stop Animal Cruelty!

Have you ever heard of whale and dolphine massacre on Faroe Island? On a hunt called “grindadráp”, around 2,000 Long-finned Pilot Whales are killed annually. The Faroese consider the hunt an important part of their culture and history. When I first heard about it, I quickly searched about it on google and google images. I was very enraged and sad when I saw the bloody photos. I’m really disappointed to see that humans are becoming much more of an animal than the animal itself. Many of them are stupid and stubborn that they don’t realize they’re slowly killing the earth and its inhabitants, and thanks to their stupid activities many species are now endangered and extinct.

Earth Hour

Yes, earth hour will be on March 27, 2010. I know a lot of people will love to participate! If you don’t know about earth hour yet, you can participate by turning off your lights at exactly 8:30PM. “Earth hour is a call to stand up, to show leadership and be responsible for our future.” Last year, Philippine was ranked number one worldwide. More than 15 millions Filipinos in 650 major towns and cities participated. I wonder who will ranked number one this year? Well, that doesn’t really matter. I hope people all over the world will participate this year! You know, just by turning off all of our lights for an hour really matters A LOT! So tell all of your neighbors to participate!

I think we should celebrate earth hour at least twice a year. What do you think? :)
