A lot of students are really having a hard time dealing everything that is math. When I took Algebra 1 for the first time, I sort of understood how to solve the simple problems at first, but I got confused whenever the variable ‘X’ comes in. I remember dealing with my math and algebra tutors back then, it was so boring so I just pretended to understand everything they have taught me.
While I was on twitter, I read someone’s tweet saying that she hates math a lot. I replied to her saying I feel the same way. Let’s be honest, a lot of people surely doesn’t like math a lot. The simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are enough for us, but solving problems and the formulas are too much. I remember during high school, I was having a hard time solving hard Math homework problems — it’s I either ask my Aunt to help me solve it or copy from our two math whiz classmates!
My cousin, Lisa and I went to my Uncle’s place the other day to visit our other cousin, Torj. We thought maybe we could have her come with us to go karaoke and eat some Japanese foods. But it turns out that we need to stay at her place to help her with her French exam for the next day. They have 2 parts for the exam; Part 1 was the take home exam and part 2 was to talk French in front of the class telling them about their self, family, career and future in 5-10 minutes. She told us that a lot of her classmates failed the class already that they have to take again the next semester. Actually, some of my friends during college also failed French and told us that it was really hard.
Honestly, I’m not that good in math. I really try my best to understand and solve math problems. I remember our exams way back in high school, even if the teacher already gave us the formulas for the math problems, some of my answers were wrong. That’s why my mom hired a math tutor for me and I did understand math a little bit. Still, there were times that I get confused and I can’t call my tutor over because she’s some place else.
